About Breakthru Productions
Breakthru Productions is the brainchild of Steven "Boogie" Brown, an Emmy-nominated producer, musician, drummer, founder of NYC Peech Boys (previously known as SNATCH), and long-time creative force on the New York City music scene. He’s produced projects such as the James Brown Tribute Album with Bootsy Collins & Fred Wesley, the “Hip Hop For Kids Workout Video,” and stadium anthem music for New York sports teams the Knicks, Mets, and Yankees as well as projects with Ruben Studdard, Aghi Spirits, and Afrika Bambaataa. His composition and production for the Nike“Freestyle” basketball TV spot earned him an Emmy Nomination, and he won the prestigious Clio Gold Award. Both were for Best Original Music. He also scored the film King Of The Jungle, starring John Leguizamo and Oscar Award Winner Marisa Tomei.
